GENERAL ARTS
The General Arts Department comprises of two (2) major departments; Department of Languages and Department of Social Sciences.
Department of Languages
The Department of Languages, comprising English, Twi, French and Literature, thrives under the capable leadership of Mr. Daniel Asomah. The Department prides itself currently on nineteen (19) competent dedicated staff, the cooperation and solidarity of whom is marvelously spectacular.
The Department remains the heartseat of the school. It provides the wings upon which the school takes it flight. The dedication and co-spirit of its membership has been superb. No wonder students’ academic performances have been increasingly magnificient.

Mr. Paul Kojo Assuming (HOD)
Department of Social Studies
The Social Studies Department is the largest of all the departments in Asanteman Senior High School. The department is blessed with thirty three (33) dedicated teaching staff and one (1) counselor under the able leadership of Mr. Paul Kojo Assuming. The Head of Department (HOD) is assisted by five (5) sectional heads who are effective team players. They are Mr. Thomas Adomako for Christian Religious Studies (CRS), Mr. Isaac Adu-Gyamfi for Economics, Mrs. Hagar Adoa for Geography, Mr. Stephen Addai for Social Studies and Mr. Sylvester Asare for Government sections.
There is cordiality among the teaching staff which has facilitated good working environment and rising output of work. There are one thousand eight hundred and ninety nine (1899) students being thought by these dedicated teachers. In all, seven subjects fall under the department, they are; Economics, Geography, Government, Christian Religious Studies (CRS), History, Social Studies and Music.
It is much mention that any average student who pass through this department with positive attitude towards studies is sure of leaving the school with the required passes to move him/her to the next level of the educational ladder.
